Last weekend we had an early Christmas in Calgary with Jeff's siblings and their families. Here are a few photos:

Frontal lobe dysfunction

Maren has been the definition of a toddler the past few days: disinhibited, stubborn, and unable to think things through. I am so tired that I am having trouble thinking of words. 

Yesterday she wouldn't pee in the toilet simply because we were asking her to tell us when she needed to pee, and she preferred to pee in her pants rather than do what we asked. Today we were at an art gallery Christmas party geared toward families, and even though everything was kid-friendly, somehow it was extremely hard to keep her adequately reined in.

Jeff says her frontal lobes have suddenly stopped working. I agree that her executive functioning seems to be impaired, but she is a two-year-old so this might be normal :-)
