) The last few weeks have been a bit of a slog. It is the end of the semester here, meaning, we have final papers to grade and all that. But much worse than that, we thought it was the end of winter and then we had another big snowstorm.
For years I have talked about how delusional people here are, thinking that spring arrives in March. But this year I fell prey to it too – once the snow had melted I thought it was gone for good, and when the snowstorm hit last week, I thought we were having a particularly long winter. However, historical data show that this is not at all late for a snowstorm here. I guess if you live here long enough you have to become delusional, because otherwise you realize just how awful these winters are. But now this latest round of snow is starting to melt, and fingers crossed that spring really has arrived.
