Samesies

 Maren and Linden like to dress like twins these days. It’s pretty cute. 

They like to do a lot of the same things too. 

Our cats are pretty cute too. 

Which is lucky for them because they are constantly terrorizing us - there are so many things we can’t keep out, or they will be lost or destroyed. The list keeps growing, and this week we added toilet paper. 

These are two completely separate incidents, separated by five days of hiding the toilet paper in a drawer. It’s like they were lying in wait, ready for us to let our guard down. I guess at least they keep us on our toes 😂

Sledding weather

Our weather has been ridiculously variable, some days being so cold they cancel school buses, and other days floating right around freezing. Today was one of those warm days, so we took full advantage and went sledding. 

Linden didn’t want to be outdone by Maren, so when we got home she asked me to take a picture of her making a funny face 😂

 

Outside

 The weather finally warmed up enough for us to get outside. Today we played on a hill, made from snow clearing at some row houses, a few blocks from our house. 

We are as stressed as anyone about the current state of the pandemic, and the fact that we have a young child who is not yet eligible for vaccination. But getting outside makes a huge difference - it’s like hitting the reset button for all of us. 

A little stir crazy

We are a little stir crazy. It has been very cold and we have hardly been able to go outside. And now we are working from home, Linden is home with us, and Maren is only going to school. The kids are bouncing, but only sometimes off the walls.  

The weather is supposed to improve dramatically starting tomorrow, which will be helpful. I hope other conditions improve dramatically very soon!
