Room, soccer, Easter

On Friday night the kids stayed at their friends’ house, and Jeff and I went to see a movie called The Room. Going to see this movie in a theater would be an event in itself, but one of the stars of the movie was present which made it even more fun.

Also this week, Linden started soccer. This picture is of her team and she is kind of walking in the background Behind the coach. It’s a terrible picture but it’s the best I came away with 😊

And today we celebrated Easter with lots of chocolate and other treats 🍫🐰🐣

Queen

 From Thursday through this morning I was in Plano Texas for a conference of the Association of Psychology Training Clinics. It was a great conference and I had a good time and learned a lot. But the highlight in some ways was last night. Included in my conference registration fee was a Queen cover band concert, and a food and drink card for the concert venue  

It was kind of awesome being out at a concert with a bunch of other psychology nerds. I only have dark blurry pictures, but here is one of me eating ice cream, with the stage in the background:

I had to get up early for my flight this morning and I wish I had gotten a bit more sleep, but going out last night was tons of fun!

Saw

Last week we had a nice afternoon just before and just after a lot of rain. I wanted to get the kids outside, and they did not really want to go out. So I said fine, I’m just going to take my new saw (a birthday gift from my brother) and saw down the mostly dead little tree outside. They were intrigued, and when they asked whether they could use the saw and I said yes, they couldn’t get their shoes on fast enough 😂

 Today Linden turned seven years old! We celebrated last weekend with my family, and then today she had a party with friends and another small celebration with just our family (me, Jeff, and maren).

Easy have, cozy life

 

Yesterday afternoon/evening we made valentine cookies. Jeff made the dough and baked them, we all decorated, and then of course we all ate. And had leftovers to share with my knitting group today, and more leftovers that Jeff will share with his dungeons and dragons group tomorrow. Cookies are good 🍪🩷❤️🤍🩷

This weekend we also put up a new shower caddy, which I ordered online. It shipped In a box with the slogan “easy have, cozy life” printed on the outside. I like it. I want that to be my new motto 😄
