Turn baby turn

According to my ultrasound on Friday, the baby was transverse — head to the left, butt to the right. Just before the ultrasound I had experienced some low abdominal pain on my left side, which I also experienced several weeks ago, and was sent to the hospital to have checked out. No cause was determined at that time. But I think that periodically the baby has been going into that transverse position and it stretches my uterus side to side and hurts! Unfortunately, later that night I felt the baby go back to a head-up position. So now tomorrow we see the obstetrician and talk about options.

 By the way, my obstetrician solved my  waking up breathless problem. She recommended that I try nasal spray at night because basically everything in my body is swollen which might include my sinuses. As soon as I started using nasal spray at night my problem essentially went away so that is awesome!

In the meantime, I have been trying to spend some quality time with Maren. Her imaginary play keeps getting more sophisticated, and most recently has been centred on Paw Patrol, a television program for preschoolers that is extremely popular among Maren’s peers, and which she gets to watch sometimes at daycare. I have never seen an episode. But recently Maren has been setting up “laptops“ for us to watch episodes on. It is pretty awesome :-)
